Meet Kevan – The Animeniac – Anime-Inspired Tattoos, Florals & Playful Illustrations
Walk-ins and appointments available daily.
Born and raised in the Salt Lake Valley, Kevan has lived in Utah his whole life. His journey into tattooing started young—first inspired by Miami Ink, then fueled by tracing and redrawing his favorite anime and video game characters. From pencils and paper to paint and bold color, art has always been his way to explore storytelling and creativity. Today, Kevan brings that same passion into tattooing, specializing in anime, floral color pieces, small cute tattoos, and illustrative designs.
When Kevan isn’t at the shop, you’ll find him with his three kids—riding bikes, swimming, or enjoying the outdoors. He’s also a big anime fan, especially My Hero Academia, which he loves for its storytelling, character development, and inspiring art.
Kevan is determined to grow as an artist every day, pushing his boundaries while staying rooted in the styles he loves most. He thrives on creating tattoos that make people happy, no matter the design.

In His Own Words
“I want to be a tattoo artist who makes you happy to wear your tattoo, no matter the design.” – Kevan
Kevan’s First Tattoo Story
Kevan’s very first tattoo was a music note he drew himself in high school, meant to match with his high school sweetheart. The tattoo was done in his bedroom, but the match never happened—and neither did the relationship. Later, Kevan had it covered up with a stunning barn owl tattoo that now spans his entire right side.
What Inspires Kevan
Favorite Quote: “It’s supposed to be hard. If it wasn’t hard, everyone would do it. It’s the hard that makes it great.” – A League of Their Own
Favorite Show: My Hero Academia – for its depth, storytelling, and visual artistry
Favorite Season: Fall (“sweater weather”) – the darker tones, the cool air, and the holidays that make it special
Favorite Food Spot: Chili’s – a family go-to for birthdays, graduations, and celebrations, always with chips and salsa to start
Artistic Journey
Kevan first fell in love with art in elementary school, tracing characters drawn by a classmate’s uncle. Encouraged by a cousin to try drawing without tracing, he began replicating skulls, grim reapers, and other bold imagery. That discovery of independence and creativity led him down the path that eventually brought him here—to Aloha Tattoos, where he continues to grow, learn, and create every day.
Kevan is currently accepting new clients!
For the next month, he’ll be offering select free tattoos and other pieces at a heavily discounted rate as he continues to build his portfolio. Don’t miss the chance to get tattooed by this rising artist.
